Seriously...Knock It Off
Kidding or not, the next person who tells me when I can or cannot have this baby is going to lose their head. I have had it! It's not funny. It's making me crazy. I am sorry if it affects your work schedule, your travel schedule, your life. I apoligize for not clearing my due date with any of you. I apoligize for not having this baby yet. I apoligize for not being willing to drink Castor Oil to speed things along. I apoligize for being stubborn and not going into labor. I apoligize for not being able to tell you when the baby is going to be born. I apoligize for not thinking about how this is affecting you and your life. I apoligize...wait. No I don't; I don't apoligize for any of that. This little baby will come when she is good and ready and I appreciate that my doctor has my health and the health of my unborn child as his priority. Yes, it is frustrating not knowing what is happening or when it is going to happen. Yes, this whole pregnancy has been difficult and unpredictable. Why should the labor and delivery be any easier? Yes, I am extremely grumpy and pissy about this, but seriously...knock it off!

Watch Me Grow

Marcus had the good idea of taking a picture of me while I was pregnant every month at the same time wearing the same shirt. We started in October after we knew we were pregnant and the last one is May. (which was taken today) It's kinda sad that you couldn't even tell I was pregnant until I was six months along and even then, you really had to be looking. We are hoping to get one more picture right before we leave to go to the hospital, but I don't know if that will actually happen. It's kinda fun to watch my belly grow; I just really hope I can get back to where I was before I got pregnant and had surgery...and my cankles go back to 9 inches....

Mother's Day
The homemade gifts, poems and such that I have gotten from the girls over the past few years for various holidays are cute but usually pretty corny. I display them for a while and then they end up in the basement in a bin. This Mother's Day I got really cool things from all three...actually four, kids. We celebrated an early Mother's Day on Thursday since the girls wouldn't be here on Sunday. I got some nice presents from all of them, but the ones I actually liked the best this year are the ones that I normally consider corny. Taylor gave me a flower in a cup that had a cute little poem about how she can find me laying down, doing laundry or in the hospital. I thought that was rather funny. Then Christian made me a cute teddy bear picture with his hand print on it at daycare. Jessi wrote me an amazing poem that I will cherish forever. Usually, the Mother's Day poems and projects seem pretty generic to me; the girls can use them for me or their mom. This poem from Jessi was very personalized and I could tell she put some thought into it. I loved it and wanted to share:
My mother is the most wonderful mother in the whole world! She's as pretty as a pregnant butterfly. She weighs 128 pounds and she's five foot eight inches tall. Her favorite food is anything she makes that is not burnt. My mother loves me best when I make fun of her and bug her. I like being with my mom when she isn't making me clean anything up. In the good old days when my mom was little, she used to play with her two big brothers and other younger brother. My favorite thing about my mother is she is always so fun to be around and bug. If I could get my mother something special just from me it would be another chance to see her grandpa. I wouldn't trade my mother for anything. Happy Mother's Day!
I laughed at some of it, wanted to refute certain parts and almost cried at others. It was very nice.
Then on Sunday, Marcus gave me some presents from the baby and gift certificates to Roberts. He made me breakfast and dinner and we had a good day. All three kids wished me a Happy Mother's Day and the baby couldn't be left out; we were almost thinking she was going to join us on Sunday but it was a false alarm.
Being a mommy is a wonderful thing!!

Who Needs Sleep?
I want a boring week. A week with no activities, nothing planned, no unexpected phone calls from the doctor's office. In the past week and a half I had both baby showers. (In Vernal, mainly for family and the other one at home for Marcus' family and my friends.) They were both a lot of fun and I got a lot of cool stuff. Baby G is all ready totally spoiled!! The only two things I can even think of that I still need are a swing and a breast pump. We got her a car seat the other night. For some reason, buying that made everything so real. I have my bag all packed with everything except for my mediation CD, which I am working on at the moment. Christian has unknowingly given up one side of his closet for all of the baby's things.
My sister was in town last weekend to throw the Vernal baby shower. I took her to the airport, which is always a dreaded thing. It was early Monday morning and I was nauseous and tired, but was doing okay dropping her off--until she reminded me that I was having a baby in June and she wouldn't be here. I kept my composure until I was back in my car, and then I lost it. The rest of the day I was a complete basket case. She is my person and half way across the country!! Last time she came to town and I had to take her to the airport, I got a call from the doctor's office. That's when they told me that Baby G could possibly have Down Syndrome. This time I also got a call from the doctor's office. I have Group B Strep and have to be on NASTY antibiotics for the next week. Kim is not allowed to visit and have me take her to the airport until after the baby is born, and even then, I think I will be a little hesitant. The Strep B stuff is horrible for the baby if not treated and the more I read about it, the more freaked out I get. I just want to have this baby soon and have her be healthy. Is that too much to ask?!
It would be nice if I only had to worry about this pregnancy, but no...that would be much too easy. There are crazy things going on with both businesses. TSS is getting busier; three weeks from now we have a huge photo shoot. (Marcus says I will have the baby on May 21, he is now changing his mind. He will be taking over 800 pictures and can't work in a trip to the hospital. :) Then yesterday we got some exciting news that will dramatically change Charley's, but we are not allowed to talk about yet. (Don't ask Mom; I wont even tell you!!)
Then Christian has decided he doesn't need to nap during the day. He may not need a nap, but I need him to. Those two hours save my sanity. That is the only time I get anything done. I try throughout the day to do things, but just take a look at my laundry room and you will see how successful I am at that. I have however finally finished Christian's and the baby's patchwork quilts that I have wanted to get done forever. On Baby G's, I even machine quilted it instead of tying it. They aren't perfect, but they are both made with love....or whatever. ( I have to make myself feel better about how they turned out. My OCD side doesn't let me do anything I am happy with.)

Who needs sleep? They say sleep now before the baby comes, but when you can't get comfortable and have to go to the bathroom every five minutes, how are you suppose to do that? So maybe instead of sitting on my growing rear, I should be doing things now that I can't do when Christian is awake or won't have time to do when the baby comes. But then again, sitting on my growing rear is something I can't do when Christian is awake or when the baby comes....

GRRR!!
Yes, my ankles are swelling. And yes, my stupid husband made me change the name of my blog to keep me honest.
A Picture is Worth a Thousand...
I haven't been too excited in the past about this new business venture Marcus has chosen to take on. We had our first actual photo shoot on Friday. It was a lot of fun and very profitable. I enjoyed helping at the shoot much more then doing restaurant stuff. I am still a little hesitant of opening a new business so close to the due date of the baby, but if it goes as well as our first shoot, things could be okay. Here is proof that we like to torture small children and helpless animals. (These are few samples of test shoots that Marcus has done.)

Five...I Mean, Ten Questions Answered
So my sister is the one to blame..err..thank for introducing me to blogs. It started with just this one Dooce and then became many more. One of the blogs I like more then some others is Whoorl. She had five interview questions one day as her post. I wanted to play along. This are the ones she sent me:
1. What is the last thing you do before getting into bed at night?
I have a whole routine I do before I can actually get into bed each night. But the very last thing I do each night is TRY to get comfort. Franco helps out a lot. (Franco is my new best friend.) Marcus gave me Snoogle Total Body Pillow for Christmas. I have named him Franco because according to my husband, Franco gets more action then he does now that I am pregnant. I have to adjust myself and my pillow at least three times before I can try to go to sleep.
2. Do you like beer? If so, what is your favorite kind?
Mom-STOP READING NOW!!! I have tried beer...once. That is all it took. That stuff is nasty and smelling. So, my answer would have to be NO!
Okay, Mom you can read again.
3. If you had to move to Europe, what country would you live in and why?
Considering my history with geography, I am hesitant to answer this question. (Yes, I now know you can drive to Alaska, regardless what the maps show.) I would like to live in France. Don't really have a reason, that is just one country I know for a fact is in Europe.
4. Doughnuts or pancakes?
Right now I would like either. I am not a huge fan of pancakes normally, but being pregnant I eat lots of..well...food in general. Now I really want a doughnut.
5. Who is your favorite artist and/or musician? Why?
I don't really have one. I change my tastes so frequently that I never really have a chance to choose a favorite.
Then I had to play with my sister. She asked:
1. What is your favorite book? Why?
I would love to be able to give some smart answer or say one of the books I read in AP English was my favorite, but I would be lying. The one book that changed my life and I still have to this day is The Berenstein Bears and the Messy Room. Okay, take a minute and finish laughing and I will explain why. Are you all better now? Here goes: this book is what I have to blame on me becoming an organized neat freak. I loved the end of the book and the pictures they showed of the organized peg board and all the labeled boxes. I thought, "I want that kind of room!" So now I am a freak that way. Stupid? Yes, I know.
2. What one food could you not live without?
This is another hard one to answer at the moment. Right now I really want a strawberry shake that Marcus said he would make me but hasn't done it yet. Being pregnant I just love food. There are three things that the very thought of make me sick, but other then that I just love food.
3. Beach or Mountains?
Mountains..as long as I had a flushing toilet.
4. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I have finally accepted the fact that because of circumstances beyond my control, I will never move anywhere outside of my "leash" limits. We are stuck where we are. Visiting my sister in Virginia and going on business trips with Marcus has taught me that shopping in Utah isn't really shopping. I would love to move somewhere where shopping was real shopping.
5. Who is someone you greatly admire? Why?
There are a few people who fall into this list. Marcus is towards the top of this list. He goes after what he wants and doesn't let other people's opinions stop him. He has now successfully opened two different businesses. He succeeds at anything he puts his mind too.
And a BONUS question just for you!!!!Who is your very most favorite sister ever???
I have always wanted a younger sister...it could have been her. HEHEHE. YOU, of course!!
That was much harder then I thought it would be. Maybe I can get that strawberry shake now.

At Least I am Honest...
I haven't updated in forever. I have had plenty of ideas and things I have thought about writing, but I just haven't. I could say that we have had a lot of stuff going on. We had two child preparation classes that we went to last week. One was breastfeeding and the other was childbirth preparation. The breastfeeding class was very informational and I actually learned a lot. It didn't really calm any of my fears, but we'll see what happens. The other class had a lot of good information, but didn't calm my fears either. The thought of giving birth scares me to death.
I could also say that Easter kept us busy. We had a good day with family and lots of candy. I will admit it, I ate all of Christian's peeps....oopsy. We had an Easter egg/candy hunt at Marcus' mom's house with all his family. I also had a really good nap on Jean's couch while the kids and Marcus played in the teepee that Jean has in her backyard.
I could also blame it on the fact that we now officially have two businesses. I would like to think that I have Charley's and Marcus does his...it doesn't work that way. I have to do things for his photography business as well. So I feel a little overwhelmed at times. I could also blame it on being too busy chasing Christian around or running the girls to something different every single day.
See, there are a lot of things I could technically blame for me not updating more frequently. But it all comes down to one thing; I am just too darn lazy. It requires a lot of energy to make my fingers push the buttons and form words which are suppose to make sense. (half the time they don't.) I am too tired half the time to even think straight, let alone make sense when I write things down. I will try to get better...I remember saying this before. It didn't work that time, why should I think I'll do better this time? Okay, I'm not going to lie...I will write when I feel like it. No more, no less.
